I found some more drugstore stuff I don’t like!

Simple Micellar Water

This dislike applies to both the Kind to Skin version and the Water Boost version.

Pros: It seems to remove face makeup fairly well and I like the way it makes my face feel. I also like the top, which sounds weird, but if you’ve ever used the Garnier Micellar Water you’ll know what I’m talking about; it comes out way too fast and ends up getting everywhere. That doesn’t happen with this one as the hole in the lid is relatively small.

Cons: Basically everything else. I don’t like the way this stuff smells; it’s got sort of an antiseptic, hospital-y smell and I don’t personally like that. Also, I typically wear waterproof eye makeup and this stuff struggles to remove it, and since I only use micellar water for removing my eye makeup this stuff really doesn’t work for me.

Wet ‘N Wild MegaLiner Metallic Eyeliner in Sea Symmetry

This item, along with the next one, are part of Wet ‘N Wild’s fall Midnight Mermaid collection, and I’m super bummed about this because I wanted to love all of these things.

Pros: The color is so, so pretty. I love me some jewel toned everything so this collection is right up my alley. Also the price, which is $3.99. I mean, come on, it’s not like this brand would release a super expensive fall collection.

Cons: The liner I purchased was open, which has more to do with the lame way the company attempts to prevent tampering than the product itself. I also didn’t check the seal before I bought it, which is on me. Anyway, once I figured that out I wasn’t planning to put it on my eyes, but I did want to check out the formula. It was a little dried out and chunky; it could be because it was open. I don’t have any other liquid liners from this brand so I don’t know if this is unusual, but it’s not something I can work with. The brush is also really small and flimsy and even using it on my hand I couldn’t get a straight, non-jumpy line out of it. Dislike.

Wet ‘N Wild Color Icon Metallic Liquid Eyeshadow in Lara’s Necklace

Pros: I looooove this color and was so excited to try this after watching some YouTube trials. I also like cream and liquid eyeshadows, though I’d never tried any from this brand. It’s gorgeous, it goes on easily, and again, the price. Also the packaging; all of the packaging in this collection is totes adorbs and thought it would look cute in my collection.

Cons: The. Fucking. Glitter. Holy shit. It gets absolutely everywhere, and we all know that glitter is the herpes of the craft world. Once you get it on you it never goes away. I wore it for about five minutes and it was already starting to crease, and even without the glitter it’s extremely difficult to remove. I was using a micellar water that takes off other eye makeup with ease, but this was a struggle. I thought about keeping it just for my Halloween costume but it seems like a waste.

Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black

Pros: Waterproof, smudge-proof, and super black. I like all of these things about it.

Cons: It’s kind of expensive for a drugstore product. At $9.99 it’s one of the more expensive drugstore liners I own. The brush is nice in theory but it’s not terribly high quality or practical. I also suck with gel liners, which has nothing to do with the liner and everything to do with me being generally awful when it comes to eyeliner not in pencil form.
