Review: Maybelline FitMe Stick Foundation in 130 Buff Beige

I’ve noticed that this is a bit of a controversial product. People either love it or hate it, and there doesn’t seem to be any in between.

I think I might be one of those in-between people.

I don’t think this is an epic, holy grail product by any means, but it’s not terrible.

Pros: The color is really good for me and the coverage is really natural. It doesn’t settle into my pores/fine lines and doesn’t emphasize some of the texture and dryness on my skin. It’s easy to apply and I imagine it would be great to travel with. I wore it for about eight hours and I didn’t look overly greasy or gross at the end of the day.

Cons: I’ve never used a stick foundation before so I have no basis for comparison, but it seemed like this tugged at my skin a lot when I was applying it. It also took some extra effort to blend out. It broke up a bit in my t-zone and definitely wasn’t transfer proof, as every time I touched my face it ended up on my hands. The shade range isn’t great and I imagine that this would be terrible for people with skin oilier than mine.

I guess this is sort of a “meh” product. I don’t have great things to say about it, but I also don’t have awful things to say. I’m keeping it because I want to keep playing around with it, and in the winter it might be better because my skin isn’t as oily.

  1. I tried this version of the Fit Me a while back and definitely didn’t like it. It didn’t sit on my skin the way I wanted it to is the best way I can put it.I definitely prefer the liquid version. That one is my holy grail drugstore foundation without question.
