I has a sad.

I don’t typically talk about my empties (or at least I haven’t in the past nine months), but I feel like we need to discuss this one: my Tarte Frxxxtion Stick 3-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser. I mentioned this product the other day in my Awake Beauty post. I haven’t seen anyone else mention it and it’s sometimes hard to find, but I don’t get why. It’s such a great product, especially for my oily skin sisters on the go.
What is it: literally a 3-in-1 stick that I use for cleansing, exfoliating and as a mask. Supposedly it has ancient algae or fossils or something in it to tame oil and some kind of fancy microexfoliant to get the gunk out of my face. I don’t really know how it works, I just know that I like the results.
Over the past few months, I’ve been on the go A LOT. Michigan, Florida, multiple cities in New York and everywhere in between, and if you’re someone who loves products and travel you know how difficult it is to choose what to bring. I like things that serve multiple purposes so I have to bring less stuff. Yay multitasking!
Of course, on all of these trips, I still brought an entirely separate bag/case for my makeup, skincare, masks… you get the idea. I’m just that extra.
But this product is something I’ve brought with me on just about every trip since I first started using it several years ago. I haven’t always brought my Clarisonic on these trips, especially when I was going to visit Dan in Michigan (his cottage was fucking tiny and the shower was barely big enough for my body, much less my shower products). Rubbing this little stick all over my face at the end of the day was the only reason my skin didn’t explode in acne like a damn teenager.
And now, it is gone.
Farewell, dear friend. Someday I will stop this low buy nonsense and acquire one of your sisters to clean and scrub my face.
How do you feel about stick cleansers? Have you found one that you really like?
I’m sure you know that I’m head over heels for tarte by now 😁 I’m in a rush, so instead of going on about my tarte love….. I know St Ives makes a similar product. I’ve never tried it, and I think their big product, the Apricot Scrub, is a little too harsh, but… It might be a win. Don’t ask me why I haven’t tried it out yet 😂

I’ve seen the moisturizing cleansing stick but not the other ones. The only St. Ives scrub I like is the green tea blackhead one. It’s not as harsh as the apricot. The apricot is the OG but I can’t use it any more.
