Review: Pantene Pro-V Sheer Volume Foam Conditioner

This is another of the products I received in my Target VoxBox from Influenster.

My hair and Pantene haven’t ever gotten along. Even back in the early 90s when Pantene was *the thing* I couldn’t use it. All of my little friends were these Pantene starlets with shiny commercial hair, and I was using some all natural good for the environment junk my mom bought us. I did have pretty nice hair, but I was way ahead of my time.

Anyway, I was a bit wary of using this conditioner, but I figured it was worth a shot.

This is meant to be used as an actual conditioner and not a leave-in or styling product. The directions say to shake well, and apply a palm-sized amount to wet hair and then rinse it out. The nozzle is kind of cool, and the texture of the product is interesting. It feels a little like shaving foam, but not quite as heavy.

Pros: Pantene smells so, so good. It’s fresh and a little bit floral and… oh my god, I just love it. The texture is cool, and the full size is $6.99 so it’s pretty affordable.

Cons: My hair is a little dry and a little damaged, and this just isn’t moisturizing enough for my hair. There also wasn’t any volumizing to speak of. I used a moisturizing Sebastian shampoo with it, and my hair still felt dry and full of static and ended up in a ponytail every time I used it. It also looked extra frizzy and the baby hairs were out to play. It just doesn’t work for me.

If you like Pantene products and they work for you, I’m betting you’ll like this conditioner.  If you received it in a VoxBox or you’ve purchased it, let me know what you think!
